Sweepstakes casino reviews

Documentary reviews of US sweepstakes casinos built from official rules, terms and enforcement records, plus a data table covering ten operators.

Key takeaways

  • Our reviews are documentary: built from each operator's official rules, terms and public enforcement records, not from accounts we opened.
  • Full reviews currently cover Modo.us, Zula Casino, Sportzino, High 5 Casino and Chumba Casino.
  • Pulsz, McLuck, Global Poker, Crown Coins and Stake.us appear in the data table but do not yet have full reviews, because key rules were login-gated, blocked or not public.

Every review in this section is built from what an operator has published: its official sweepstakes rules, its terms of use, its restricted-state list, and any state enforcement action against it. We name the document version and date behind each fact, so you can check it yourself.

How we review sweepstakes casinos

Our reviews are documentary. We have not opened accounts, bought Gold Coin packages or redeemed Sweeps Coins, and no review claims otherwise. Each one covers:

  • Operator and legal entity, as named in the official rules.
  • Legal status, dated and sourced, including whether the operator is subject to state lawsuits, settlements or cease-and-desist letters.
  • Availability: the operator’s own restricted-state list, checked against current state bans.
  • Free entry: the exact mail-in (AMOE) amount and process from the rules.
  • Redemption terms: minimums, playthrough, identity checks and any caps.
  • Offers: the welcome offer, labelled by how it was verified. “Shown on the operator’s own site” means we read it there on the date given; “reported, not yet confirmed” means two reputable comparison sites agree but we could not read it on the operator’s site. As of October 4, 2026, Zula’s, Sportzino’s and High 5’s offers are in the first group, and Modo’s and Chumba’s in the second. We do not publish promo codes owned by other sites.

What hands-on testing will add later: dated redemption timings, support response records and identity-check experiences. Until then we publish no scores. Our methodology explains the criteria in detail.

Ten sweepstakes casinos, side by side

We track ten operators. The full side-by-side tables, covering free entry, minimum redemption, playthrough, age and excluded states, are on our sweepstakes casino comparison page. Every cell comes from a dated, sourced brand record, and “Not verified” means we could not confirm the figure in an official document.

Brands without a full review, and why

A review needs enough official material to document. For five operators, that material is incomplete.

  • Pulsz. Its Terms of Use (v5.2, September 1, 2026) list restricted and promotion-limited states, but its sweepstakes rules, which set minimums and free-entry amounts, sit behind a login. It still ranks fifth on our best sweepstakes casinos list because its state list is public and current.
  • McLuck. Its availability page excludes 16 states but not California, where a ban has been in force since January 1, 2026. Its minimum redemption and free-entry terms were not readable to us.
  • Global Poker. A poker-first product from VGW, the operator behind Chumba Casino. Its availability page already reflects the Indiana and Maine bans, but its minimum redemption is not verified, and VGW faces the same state actions covered in our Chumba review, including the $8 million New York settlement.
  • Crown Coins Casino. Its public Terms of Service (v4.1, September 24, 2026) describe social play only. We could not find public sweepstakes rules or a sweepstakes-specific state list.
  • Stake.us. Sued by Florida’s Attorney General on August 19, 2026. Its official sweepstakes page blocked our research tools, so we have not published its state list or terms.

We will add reviews as these documents become readable, starting with a re-check from a US IP.

Comparing two brands directly

If you are deciding between two operators, the head-to-heads go factor by factor: Zula vs Sportzino, Modo vs High 5 Casino, and Chumba Casino alternatives.

Check whether sweepstakes play is allowed where you live before choosing a brand.

Frequently asked questions

Are these sweepstakes casino reviews based on real play?
No. They are documentary reviews built from official rules, terms and public records. We have not opened accounts, bought coins or redeemed prizes. Hands-on testing will add dated redemption logs and support records later.
Why doesn't Stake.us have a review?
Its official sweepstakes page blocked our research tools, so we could not confirm its restricted states, minimum redemption or free-entry terms. We will publish a review once we can read those rules directly.
Do reviews include ratings or scores?
No. We do not publish scores until hands-on testing exists. Our ranked list uses the documentary criteria on our methodology page instead.
