Affiliate disclosure
How Chance Ledger may earn money from affiliate links, sponsorships and ads, how commercial content is labeled, and what payment can never buy.
Chance Ledger is free to read. To pay for research and publishing, we may earn money from the companies we write about. This page explains how, and what that money cannot buy.
Current status: as of October 4, 2026, none of the platforms in our brand records is marked as an affiliate partner or a sponsor, and no link on the site earns us a commission. We will update this page and those records when that changes.
How we may earn money
Affiliate and referral payments. In future, some links to operators may be affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up, deposit, buy a coin package or take another qualifying action, we may be paid. Common arrangements include:
- CPA (cost per acquisition): a fee when a new customer completes a qualifying action, such as opening and funding an account.
- CPL (cost per lead): a fee when a reader registers.
- Revenue share: a percentage of the revenue the operator earns from customers we refer, where that arrangement is permitted.
Using our links costs you nothing extra. Any offer you see should be the same as, or no worse than, the operator’s standard public offer. If it is not, please tell us.
Sponsorships. A company may pay to sponsor a placement or a section. Sponsored content is always labeled.
Display advertising. We may show ads. Ads are visually separate from editorial content, and advertisers do not choose or influence what we write.
How commercial content is labeled
- “Sponsored” label. Any placement a company has paid for carries a visible “Sponsored” label.
- Outbound operator links route through /go/. Buttons that send you to an operator go through an address on our site that begins with /go/, followed by the brand, so any future affiliate link is handled the same way. These links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute, which tells search engines the link is commercial. - Disclosure near the content. Pages that contain affiliate links show a short disclosure near the top, linking back here.
- Official terms, not just our summary. Where we describe an offer, we link to the operator’s official terms.
What payment never buys
No commercial relationship can buy any of the following:
- A ranking position. Rankings follow the published criteria in our methodology, applied the same way to every platform. A sponsored placement never changes where a platform ranks editorially.
- A better review. Verdicts, pros and cons are based on documents and records, not on who pays.
- Silence. Accurate negative information, such as lawsuits, enforcement actions, restricted states, high fees or restrictive terms, stays published.
- Pre-approval. Partners cannot review or approve our content before publication.
- Exclusion of competitors. We cover and rank platforms whether or not they pay us.
Our editorial policy explains how commercial and editorial decisions are kept apart.
FTC compliance, in plain words
The Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides say that when a publisher has a financial relationship with a company it writes about, readers should be told clearly. Our approach:
- We tell you that we may earn money from links, on every page where that applies, and in plain language.
- We put the disclosure where you will see it before you click, not only on this page.
- We do not present paid content as independent editorial.
- We describe our reviews accurately as documentary reviews. We do not claim personal experience we do not have.
Questions
If you think a page is not properly disclosed, or an offer through our link is worse than the operator’s public offer, email editors@chanceledger.com. Partnership and advertising inquiries go to partners@chanceledger.com.
