FanDuel Predicts review: the $100 offer, 2% fee and where sports are available
A documentary review of FanDuel Predicts: CME-listed contracts, the 2% fee with a worked example, the 18 sports states and the official $100 new-customer offer.
Key takeaways
- FanDuel Predicts is run by FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a registered futures commission merchant; the contracts are listed on CME Group. It launched on December 22, 2025.
- Sports contracts are offered in 18 states named in the official offer terms, including California, Florida and Texas. Financial contracts are reported to be available nationwide.
- The fee is 2¢ per dollar of potential payout (2%), charged again on early cash-out. On 100 contracts at 50¢ that is $2.00.
- The official new-customer offer pays up to $100 in Predicts Bonus ($20 a day over five trade days of $1 or more) and, per its terms, runs until October 20, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. ET.
You get $20 after your first deposit and trade, then $20 a day on 4 more trade days. Open to 18+ users in the 18 sports-eligible states. Only the winnings from bonus trades can be withdrawn. Confirmed on FanDuel Predicts' site October 4, 2026. Official terms. 18+ only.
Get the FanDuel Predicts offer (opens the operator's site in a new tab)Verdict: FanDuel Predicts is the easiest of the major prediction-market apps to price: one flat fee of 2% of potential payout, contracts listed on CME Group, and a FanDuel-branded app many sports fans already know. It suits people in its 18 sports-eligible states who want to trade game outcomes with a familiar brand and a clearly dated welcome offer. It is a weaker choice outside those states, where only financial contracts are reported to be available. It also costs more than formula-based exchanges on cheap long shots and heavy favorites, because a payout-based fee does not shrink at extreme prices, and the same fee also applies if you cash out early.
This is a documentary review based on FanDuel’s official help and offer pages and CME Group’s launch announcement, checked on October 4, 2026. We have not opened an account or traded and we do not give a score.

Who FanDuel Predicts is for, and who should skip it
It fits you if you live in one of the 18 sports states, you mostly trade contracts priced near 50¢ (where its fee is closest to Kalshi’s: $2.00 against $1.75 per 100 contracts), and you want the new-customer bonus before it ends on October 20, 2026.
Consider skipping it if you live elsewhere and want sports; you often buy contracts below about 25¢ or above about 75¢, where the 2%-of-payout fee is at least 1.5 times Kalshi’s formula fee and more than three times it at 10¢ or 90¢; or you want a confirmed list of funding methods before signing up, which we could not verify.
Company, ownership and history
FanDuel Predicts is operated by FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, which FanDuel describes as a registered futures commission merchant (FCM), a broker that holds customer accounts and routes orders. The contracts themselves are listed on CME Group, a major US derivatives exchange and a CFTC-designated contract market. The offer terms name New Venture II LLC as the promotion sponsor.
FanDuel and CME Group launched the product on December 22, 2025, initially in Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota and South Dakota. Secondary reports say financial contracts expanded to all 50 states in early 2026; we have not confirmed that in an official FanDuel page.
Regulation and legal status
Federally, FanDuel Predicts sits inside the CFTC framework at both levels: an FCM as the broker and CME as the exchange.
At the state level, the national dispute over sports event contracts applies here too, though FanDuel has limited sports to a defined list of states. As of October 4, 2026:
- Federal appeals courts are split on whether state gambling law governs sports contracts on CFTC-regulated exchanges, and three petitions now ask the Supreme Court to resolve it (what the petitions ask).
- Utah is on FanDuel’s sports list, but a federal court ruled in August 2026 that Utah’s anti-gambling law applies to Kalshi’s sports contracts. That case did not involve FanDuel, but a similar challenge could.
- Minnesota is on the list. The state’s prediction-market ban was enjoined in July 2026 in litigation brought by Kalshi and Polymarket US, not FanDuel.
We found no state lawsuit naming FanDuel Predicts in our research. Track changes on our prediction market legal tracker.
Where FanDuel Predicts is available
According to the official offer terms checked October 4, 2026, sports contracts are available in these 18 states:
Alaska, Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Utah.
Financial and economic contracts are reported to be available nationwide (secondary sources). Users must be 18 or over, per the offer terms.
The list leaves out large states such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois. FanDuel does not explain how it chose the 18 states on the pages we reviewed.
Getting started
FanDuel’s Predicts pages document the offer and fees but not a step-by-step signup flow. What the offer terms do make clear:
- Location matters for sports: you must be located in one of the 18 states above to trade sports contracts and to qualify for the offer.
- The first trade starts the offer: the first $20 bonus is triggered by a first deposit plus a trade of $1 or more.
- Funding methods are not listed on the pages we reviewed, so check the cashier in the app before you deposit.
FanDuel Predicts promo: the $100 new-customer offer
FanDuel’s official new-customer offer terms (verified October 4, 2026) describe the offer as “Get $100 in Predicts Bonus When You Trade $1 Daily (for 5 Days)”:
- Day 1: make a first deposit and a trade of $1 or more to receive $20 in Predicts Bonus.
- Days 2–5: receive $20 on each of up to four more days on which you trade $1 or more.
- Maximum: $100.
- Eligibility: 18 and over, located in one of the 18 sports states above.
- Withdrawals: only the winnings from bonus trades can be withdrawn, not the bonus itself.
- Offer period: August 24, 2026 at 1 p.m. ET to October 20, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. ET, per the official terms.
No promo code appears in the terms. We will update this section when FanDuel publishes its next offer. Compare it with other official offers on our prediction market promotions page.
Markets and products
FanDuel Predicts offers sports contracts (in the 18 states), plus financial and economic contracts. Each contract settles at $1 if the outcome occurs and $0 if it does not, and the price you pay approximates the market’s implied probability before fees. Settlement follows the contract rules of the listing exchange, CME; our guide to how prediction markets settle explains the process.
You can cash out before settlement at the current market price, but FanDuel applies its 2% fee at that point too. We have not measured liquidity on CME’s contracts and do not comment on spreads.
FanDuel Predicts fees
FanDuel’s payouts help page states the fee as two cents per dollar of potential payout, or 2%, and gives the example of a $2 fee on a $100 potential payout. The same fee applies on early cash-out.
Worked example: 100 contracts at 50¢
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Contract cost (100 × $0.50) | $50.00 |
| Potential payout (100 × $1) | $100.00 |
| Fee (2% of $100) | $2.00 |
| Total paid | $52.00 |
| Net result if it wins | +$48.00 |
| Net result if it loses | −$52.00 |
Because the fee tracks payout rather than price, it does not shrink at the extremes. At 10¢, the same 100 contracts cost $10 but still carry a $2 fee, a fifth of the stake; Kalshi’s widely reported 0.07 × P × (1 − P) formula would charge $0.63. At 90¢ the FanDuel fee is again $2.00 against Kalshi’s $0.63. Only near 50¢ are the two close ($2.00 against $1.75). Our prediction market fees guide shows the full comparison.
Whether CME adds a separate exchange fee is not stated on the page we reviewed.
Deposits and withdrawals
We have not verified FanDuel Predicts’ deposit or withdrawal methods, minimums or processing times in official documentation as of October 4, 2026, so we do not list them.
Mobile apps
FanDuel Predicts is available on iOS and Android, according to our brand record verified October 4, 2026. We have not assessed the apps.
Safety and customer protections
FanDuel Predicts separates the brand from the market. FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a registered FCM, holds your account, while CME Group, the listing exchange, lists and settles the contracts. That is a different arrangement from the FanDuel sportsbook, which takes bets against the house under state licenses; see prediction markets vs sports betting. Standard binary positions are fully paid for, so the most you can lose is the cost plus fees.
The offer’s bonus is issued by a separate sponsor entity, New Venture II LLC, under its own terms. We have not reviewed FanDuel’s customer-fund disclosures for Predicts and do not describe them.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Official, clearly dated new-customer offer
- Simple fee model: 2% of potential payout
- Familiar FanDuel app experience
- Backed by CME Group, a major US exchange
Cons
- Sports contracts limited to 18 states
- A flat 2% of payout costs more than formula-based fees except near 50¢ (e.g. $2.00 vs Kalshi's $0.63 per 100 contracts at 90¢)
- The current offer expires Oct 20, 2026
- Fees also apply on early cash-out

How we reviewed FanDuel Predicts
This is a documentary review. On October 4, 2026 we read FanDuel’s Predicts payout page and new-customer offer terms, CME Group’s December 22, 2025 launch release and the CFTC’s exchange list, and we cross-checked the state legal backdrop against court and attorney-general records. We name secondary sources where we used them.
We have not opened a FanDuel Predicts account, deposited, traded or cashed out. A hands-on testing log covering funding methods, fee receipts and cash-out behavior will be added once completed, and FanDuel Predicts carries no score until then. See our methodology.
